The other day we went to dinner in 5th Ave, only about 2 blocks away from our hotel and we had a great time. In the restaurant, a few tables from us sat a Dutch couple. I thought the girl looked really pretty. She was wearing a goldish-champagne coloured dress and I thought she looked great - until she got up. With her cool summer holiday-ish dress, she was wearing a pair of white dress/court shoes. Not only was it shocking that anyone would wear shoes like that with such a light and fun summer dress, but why would you wear it when it is so unbelievably hot and humid. It had thick heels and a big strap over the foot - think less Mary Jane's and more white-version-of-a-witch's-shoe. UGLY. Times like these that I wish I was part of the fashion police to stop a crime like that from happening again.

Black and White BCBG top, boyfriend jeans and plain black sandals - off course I had no intentions of wearing those sandals last night, but it kept raining and I was not going to torture my Chanel's like that, so plain and cheerfully not-so-freaking-expensive had to suffer the consequences.
