I've been watching and enjoying this season's Project Accessory (actually, it is the very first season of this new show) and this week the designers all had to make handbags.
Some designers made some amazing bags and others were not quite as successful, but the thing that surprised me the most on the show is the announcement that the American handbag market is $7.5 million. Wow - respect! No wonder all the designers are branching into bags and other accessories.
Also, it doesn't hurt that the average woman owns about 6 handbags each. (Needless to say, my handbag collection is way over that number)
